Santa Fe Opera Names Fishbone As Advertising Agency of Record
SANTA FE, June 6, 2008 — Fishbone Marketing, Albuquerque, has been
named advertising agency of record for The Santa Fe Opera’s 2009
Season.
Fishbone, a marketing firm established in 2002, has worked with the Opera as
a marketing and creative consultant for its 2008 season.
“We’re thrilled to represent one of New Mexico’s and America’s
premiere cultural institutions,” said Fishbone CEO, Nathan James. “The
Santa Fe Opera is an ensemble company committed to staging American and world
premieres. We support those values.”
In 2009, the Opera will stage the world premiere of The Letter by
Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Paul Moravec and librettist Terry Teachout, an
author and columnist for The Wall Street Journal. The Letter is
an “opera
noir,” based on Somerset Maugham’s short story and play, which was
the basis of a 1940 film starring Bette Davis.
In addition to The
Santa Fe Opera, Fishbone's New Mexico clients include
the Albuquerque International Balloon
Fiesta and Abba Technologies.
